Partnerships
Jesus calls
his Church to be united. We work together with other local
churches so that we may enjoy fellowship, build each other up, learn
from each other and be as effective as possible in all our mission and
ministry.
InterACT:
Church and Community Partnership
Formerly the Three Churches Project, we facilitate creative events,
activities and informal courses, to help develop skills and build
relationships in the local community. Being very much part of the wider
community development strategy in the area, we work alongside others to
see lives transformed.
InterACT Church and Community Partnership,
or InterACT for short, is about working TOGETHER, ACTIVELY, in our
local community. The development also reflects the fact that more
congregations are now involved in the partnership and outreach work,
with new volunteers and leaders from the Baptist and Methodist churches
in Meanwood working alongside those from Stainbeck, St. Matthew’s, Holy
Trinity and local residents with no church attendance at all. Of
course, we continue to have strong links with the other congregations
of Chapel Allerton and are also building stronger connections with
small groups from Wharfedale Vineyard and Mosaic. We hope that more and
more we genuinely reflect the local Christian community living and
working in and around Meanwood.
The name change starts with immediate effect, although it will take a
little while to update the website and official documents to reflect
this. Please bear with us through the formal transition, give thanks
for the positive moves forward and pray for a future where we continue
to see transformation of Church and community.
We aim to discover God's purpose for the area as we seek to demonstrate
His love in words and actions.
A few prayer points to provide guidance as to how we at Holy
Trinity can pray for InterAct and our community of Meanwood.
- Please give thanks for the increased number of partners
involved in InterAct and that there is a greater understanding of how
they can work together as the churches of Meanwood for the good of the
Meanwood community
- Please pray for the three weekly groups that meet, youth club/drama club/craft club
- Please pray as people begin planning holiday clubs for the end of August
- Please
pray for all the Agencies and Partners InterAct work with who are
facing uncertain times due to staff redundancies during this economic
climate
- Please pray for all those who hire the many church halls in
Meanwood that they would glimpse what the churches are doing to help the
Meanwood community

Deanery Team
We are part
of an informal team, set up within the Deanery of Headingley, seeking
to find ways to help and equip each other in mission. Our
partners are St Georges, St Matthias Burley and St
James Woodside.
Working
with our Neighbours
We work
with neighbouring churches in various ways, including a shared service
of Holy Communion with Meanwood Methodist church once per month (see services) and an annual
Advent Sunday service with St Matthew's Chapel Allerton. This year will
will be joining St Chad's Headingley for an Advent course.
