KidzChurch
KidzChurch meets at the
Parochial Hall off Church Lane on most Sundays during term-time. A list
of dates for the current term is available from any of the regular
helpers. Lessons start at 10:30 am and finish at 11:45 to 11:50.
The children are split
into two classes, the 'lower' class for the children from nursery
school age to primary school year 2 and the 'upper' class for children
from primary school year 3 age.
Most lessons take their
source material from the Bible and include a mixture of discussion,
song, drama art or craft work. Kidzchurch aims to be fun whilst at the
same time giving children an understanding of Christian values.
Lessons are often linked
from one week to the next so it is expected that children attend on a
regular rather than occasional basis. If your child is not able to
attend on any particular week, please let any of the regular helpers
know at the Kidzchurch session the week before.
There is no charge for
attendance at Kidzchurch but a collection is taken at the beginning of
each lesson and this money, in turn, is passed on to the Church
collection. The running costs of Kidzchurch are met from Church funds.
The helpers at Kidzchurch give their time on a voluntary basis. Any
parents who wish to help at Kidzchurch on a regular or part-time basis
or become involved in the running of Kidzchurch would be very welcome
to do so.
If you have any question
about Kidzchurch, please contact any of the regular helpers listed
below.
Thank you.
