Whoever sows generously will
also reap generously
Thank
you for considering giving to Holy Trinity.
The
best way to give is:
Regularly - This
helps us to plan ahead.
Tax Efficiently
- if you are a UK tax payer, fill in a Gift Aid form, we get
an extra 25%.
Realistically
- Our costs last year totalled £87,000.
Everything has to be paid for by giving.
Proportionally
- our incomes vary, and can rise and fall with time, so the best way to
give is proportionally. A tithe (10% of income) is the Bible’s
guideline. For some, this may be too much; for others it is a starting
point.
As soon as the
order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of their
grain, new wine, olive oil and honey and all that the fields produced.
They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.

Or, if you would
like to give regularly
Firstly,
please pray about your giving and decide how much of your income you
believe God wants you to give and how often. Then, give in one of the
following ways:
- Set up a standing
order from your bank account. The standing order and Gift Aid form, which you can download, contains
our bank details, so you can either complete the form or use the
information to set up your standing order via online or telephone banking. If you are a UK tax payer, please complete the gift aid form.
- Please contact us if you would prefer to give in another way, such as via a Stewardship
or Charities
Aid Foundation account or by Payroll Giving.
The
above are our perferred methods, but if none of them work for you,
please consider of the following:
- Contact us and ask to join our envelope scheme. Each year
you will be given a box of numbered envelopes in which to place your gift
(cash or cheque). The sealed envelope can then be given at
any of our services. Please complete a Gift Aid form if you a are a UK taxpayer.
- Give a cheque or cash at any
of our services. If you are able to Gift Aid your offering,
please place it in one of the special envelopes provided and write your
details on the front.
Why not leave a legacy?
It is good to leave
charitable legacies through your will. This is very tax efficient and
makes a public statement about your priorities. Indeed, if you have
given throughout your life then why not give on your death? You may
wish to insert a statement such as: “in acknowledgement that everything
I have comes from God, I wish to give 10% of my estate to Holy Trinity
or to the last church to which I regularly gave”.
